We get this question a lot. Here’s how to quickly identify which GTR you have.

Both Series 1 and Series 2 come in Bamboo and Carbon variants, so look for the differences below.

🟤 GTR Bamboo

✅ Top of the deck (where you stand)

• Series 1 Bamboo

  • No “GTR Bamboo” logo near the rear of the deck.

• Series 2 Bamboo

  • Has a “GTR Bamboo” emblem/logo near the back of the deck

If there’s no emblem, it’s a Series 1.

✅ Motor controller (underside of deck)

If you’re still unsure, check the motor controller:

• Series 1 Bamboo

  • Smooth motor controller

  • No deep grooves

• Series 2 Bamboo

  • Motor controller has deep cooling grooves

  • Very noticeable ribbed design

⚫ GTR Carbon

✅ Bottom of the deck

• Series 1 Carbon

  • Large white “GTR” text across the bottom

• Series 2 Carbon

  • Smaller “GTR Carbon” text

  • Black lettering

That visual difference alone usually makes it obvious.

⚙️ Motor difference (the easiest way)

If visuals are unclear, check the motors:

• Series 1 (1500W motors)

  • Glossy finish

  • Smoother appearance

• Series 2 (3000W motors)

  • Textured, rough finish

  • More industrial look

This is the most reliable identifier.

🏁 Quick summary

• No rear Bamboo emblem = Series 1

• Deep grooved motor controller = Series 2

• Large white “GTR” bottom graphic = Series 1 Carbon

• Small black “GTR Carbon” graphic = Series 2

• Glossy motors = 1500W Series 1

• Textured motors = 3000W Series 2
