Renegade - Reduced RangeUpdated 25 days ago
Many factors can affect overall range, including riding style, terrain, environment, ambient temperature, battery age, tyre pressure, and rider weight. If you've noticed a sharp decrease in range and don't believe it’s due to any of these factors, read on.
Ambient temperature
• Lithium-ion batteries give their best performance at about 77 °F (our advertised range is based on this figure).
• At 50 °F, expect roughly 25 % less power.
• At 32 °F, the loss can reach 50 %.
• Riding in weather below 59 °F will usually cut range noticeably.

Tire pressure – the most common cause
• Check all-terrain tires often.
• Recommended pressure sits between 40 – 50 psi.
• Anything around 20 psi or lower can more than halve range because rolling resistance rises sharply.
Other Troubleshooting Steps
If you suspect the issue is with the board itself and not one of the above factors, try recalibrating the Battery Management System (BMS):
- Ride the board until it completely turns off – keep riding past 0% until the board no longer powers on (blue power light off).
- Charge the board to full in a single charge – wait until the charger light turns green.
- Repeat this process twice – this should help recalibrate the BMS.
If the board is still experiencing reduced range or the battery percentage is not dropping in 1% increments, contact our tech support team for further assistance.
