Evolve boards have gone through six generations of evolution, with each generation designed as a complete system. This means components like batteries, motor controllers, motors, and remotes are not cross-compatible between generations—they require a matching electronic system to function properly.

Why Aren’t Components Interchangeable?

Each generation features specific firmware and hardware that won’t work with previous models. Even if the parts look similar, they won’t fit or function correctly due to differences in design, connectivity, and firmware.

For example:

• GTR motors use custom waterproof connectors that only work with GTR Bluetooth motor controllers—they cannot be used with GT motor controllers.

Here’s how the generations break down:

🔹 6th Gen: Diablo, Renegade, Stoke X
🔹 5th Gen: Hadean Series, GTR Series(2.0)
🔹 4th Gen: GTR Carbon, GTR Bamboo, Stoke
🔹 3rd Gen: GT Carbon, GT Bamboo, GTX, ONE Board, ONE GT
🔹 1st/2nd Gen: Pintail, Snubnose, Bamboo Series, Carbon Series

Upgrading to a Newer Model?

If you're considering upgrading, keep in mind that older board components won’t be compatible with newer models. If you need spare parts, always check that they match your board’s generation.
